abhishekam (holy water bath)

couple will have a holy water bath which has purified by chanting mantra and homas (fire rituals). new dresses will be given. prayers to all the deities in the temple will be conducted.

cow pooja

cow represents Goddess Lakshmi. Cow gives us milk and from that we make curd, ghee. the dung is used as fuel. The dung cake and ghee is main for rituals. As rituals were very much important in those days she was treated as Goddess. still continues.
